The shockwaves of Chill Town's destruction will be felt once more this Friday night, as Scotty Mac puts the NWA Canadian heavyweight title up for grabs against his former comrade, Sid Sylum! Azeem The Dream defends the NWA Canadian junior heavyweight title against Ray Brooks! It'll be Friend and Foe, as Cremator & El Phantasmo form an unlikely team against Artemis Spencer and Kenny Lush, with the winners meeting to determine who will challenge for the NWA/ECCW Championship at Halloween Hell! Three title matches headline this great event this Friday night in Surrey! Read on for ECCW.com's official preview of all the action at the Bridgeview Hall!

NWA CANADIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Scotty Mac (Champion) vs. Sid Sylum (Challenger)

The animosity between Sid Sylum and Scotty Mac began even before the destruction of Chill Town a few months ago. Sylum had become increasingly jealous of Scotty's leadership of Chill Town, and what he saw as slights along the way to an amazing reign as NWA Canadian heavyweight champion. The tension seemed to boil over after the ejection of Sylum's former main squeeze, Nicole Matthews, from Chill Town, which was accomplished by Sylum and The Natural over Scotty's own reluctance and protests. When Sylum defeated Kenny Lush in a brutal chain match, Scotty's congratulations of Sylum was met with a slap across the face. Even worse, Scotty found himself suddenly defending the NWA Canadian heavyweight title against Sylum, Lush and El Phantasmo in TLC 4-WAY, when The Natural, speaking as a representative of Chill Town, made a deal with NWA Pacific Northwest representative Mike Sweetser to remove the ban on Sylum's Tombstone piledriver in exchange for the title being on the line. Scotty was able to survive TLC 4-WAY with his title reign intact.. but not with Chill Town intact, as angered over Scotty's sportsmanship toward Lush and Phantasmo, Sylum and Natural attacked their former leader, with Sylum Tombstoning Scotty onto a steel chair, a move that has ended careers in the past!

However, Sylum did not get the job done. Scotty Mac is still around, and despite the best efforts of Sylum's stablemates Kyle O'Reilly and Azeem The Dream, Scotty still reigns supreme as NWA Canadian heavyweight champion. This Friday night, Sylum will have his chance to finish the job he started at TLC 4-WAY, and end Scotty's year-plus reign as champion in the process. Will Sylum have the last laugh? What does he have planned for Scotty Mac?

NWA CANADIAN JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Azeem The Dream (Champion) vs. "Southern Comfort" Ray Brooks (Challenger)

Almost lost in the breakup of Chill Town was Azeem The Dream ascending to the top of the junior heavyweight division, as at TLC 4-WAY, he emerged victorious in a gauntlet match to become the new NWA Canadian junior heavyweight champion! Since then, Azeem has proven his worth as champion, even defeating Scotty Mac by countout one month ago! This Friday in Surrey, Azeem puts the gold on the line against Ray Brooks, who has been wowing ECCW fans in tag team action with MANTHER as of late, and won a Four Way Frenzy just last Saturday night in Vancouver! Can the former ECCW Extreme Jobber champion emerge from Surrey with his first major singles championship?

"FRIEND AND FOE"
WINNING TEAM FACES EACH OTHER LATER IN THE NIGHT
WINNER RECEIVES AN NWA/ECCW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AT HALLOWEEN HELL
El Phantasmo & Cremator vs. Kenny Lush & Artemis Spencer

It's no secret that Cremator wants to end El Phantasmo's career - from throwing Phantasmo off the balcony of the Russian Community Centre to the wild brawl they had last month in Surrey. The feeling is definitely mutual at this point with Phantasmo. Cremator and Phantasmo will have the chance to tear into each other once again.. but before they get it on, they'll have to get along! The two will be competing the first ever "Friend And Foe" match in ECCW history this Friday in Surrey, and will be *teaming* against two men that also have no love lost for each other, Kenny Lush and Artemis Spencer. Lush and Spencer have never gotten along, especially since Lush is currently teaming with one of Spencer's chief rivals, "Brilliant" Billy Suede, and especially considering Spencer's brutal treatment of Lush's girlfriend, Nicole Matthews, at the 2009 Pacific Cup! But again, they will have to get along in order to win the tag team match against Phantasmo and Cremator! The winning team will face each other one on one later in the night, with the winner of that match receiving a shot at the NWA/ECCW Championship on October 30th at Halloween Hell! Can Phantasmo and Cremator, and Spencer and Lush get along long enough to earn a chance at the richest prize in ECCW, or will their hatred for each other get the better of them?

ECCW HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP
Moondog Manson (Champion) vs. BJ Laredo (Challenger)

Moondog Manson has long been established as the king of the hardcore in ECCW, with an amazing nine reigns as ECCW Hardcore champion serving as his throne. But his monarchy has been challenged more than ever in recent months, with both Volt Vegas and Scott Steel chasing the championship. This Friday in Surrey, Manson will put the belt on the line against another up-and-coming star in ECCW, the burly BJ Laredo! The Island native insists that he has the answer for one of the biggest questions in ECCW - how to defeat Moondog Manson at his own game, and take the ECCW Hardcore championship!

GRUDGE MATCH
The Divine Prophet vs. MANTHER

The Pink Panther was a lost soul in ECCW before he came under the spell of the Divine Prophet. Prophet originally talked up his protege, stating that he was not a cat, he was a man.. he was a MANTHER! From there, MANTHER's confidence soared and he became one of the most popular stars in ECCW.. and the Prophet didn't like it. Prophet shunned MANTHER in favor of his other disciples in the Church of the Divine Prophecy, men like Mike Dempsey, Matt Classic and Artemis Spencer. But for every slight by the Prophet, MANTHER remembered, and MANTHER waited.. and finally, MANTHER pounced, attacking the Divine Prophet and excommunicating himself from the Prophecy! The Divine Prophet has vowed vengeance against the blasphemer, and this Friday night, the two will finally meet one on one! Will the Prophet's light envelop MANTHER once again, or will MANTHER scratch out a victory against the would-be savior of ECCW?

Jamie Diaz vs. Gurv Sihra

When you ask Jamie Diaz who will win between himself and Gurv Sihra this Friday night, he'll laugh in your face. "Who's still in the tag team title tournament - Egos & Icons, that's who!" And while it's true that Egos & Icons have advanced in the NWA/ECCW tag team championship tournament, while the Sihra Brothers were eliminated in the first round, this is not a tournament match.. this is one on one, and Gurv wants to take out his frustrations over the tournament on Jamie Diaz! It will be one on one, the Sihra vs. the Ego this Friday night in Surrey!

All of this will be coming at you from the Bridgeview Hall in Surrey this Friday night, September 25th! Tickets are still available here on ECCW.com! Don't you dare miss all the exciting action brought to you by Canada's number one wrestling promotion, Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling!

NWA Pro Wrestling's EWF Presents: Onslaught '09

A huge night of wrestling for Empire Wrestling Federation. With many returning faces to the EWF. Making his way from SoCal Pro Wrestling, SoCal Crazy teams up with Espiritu Infernal to take on the Kings of Students. Cruiserweight Champion, Chris Kadillak takes on Mondo Vega. Vega and his K.O.S put their existence on the line. If Vega defeats Kadillak in a non-title bout, Parker will get a shot at the champ. But if Kadillak defeats Vega, that will spell the end of K.O.S. Ryan Taylor, fresh from his tenure in Kaientai Dojo will go head to head with Australian Kiel Steria, this match should be one for the ages, as Steria respectfully challenged Taylor in his first match back. The Bad blood begins to boil as Scorpio Sky battles Ali Bumaye, for the EWA Championship. Bumaye has been sabotaging Sky in every opportunity he gets. Does anyone else think its weird that Bumaye is wearing the mask that Sky used to wear? And in the main event, Brandon "Nitro" Gatson puts the EWF Heavyweight Championship on the line against Jeremy Jaegar. Gatson has spent some time away from the EWF but is ready to defend his honor and the honor of the EWF against Jaegar who looks to add the EWF Championship to his trophy collection. New NWA World Mini Champion

Credit Pro Wrestling Revolution

Pro Wrestling Revolution made its debut in Watsonville at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds and we are thankful for the opportunity and nothing can compare the great feeling we all had as we started the show and just did not want to end. It was a perfect setting, diverse crowd, and anxious for something new, and they got just that.

Every match was special and had its moments, but two matches will stick with me for quite some time. The match with Mr. Wrestling IV and Derek Sanders was a match that you wish that more wrestlers would take notice. The crowd loved Mr. Wrestling IV and hated Derek Sanders, and regardless of the language barrier, you knew who was the favorite, then went out put on a wrestling clinic and entertained the crowd, all in one.

Octagoncito was a part of Pro Wrestling Revolution’s debut show in San Jose, California in 2008, so what a touching moment to seeing him crowed the Pro Wrestling Revolution/ NWA World’s Mini Champion, first champion in that category in 50 years! We are proud having him as our champion and representing our company around the world, yes… the world!

Loser Leaves Town Podcast: TJ Perkins and Casandro

Bix of CagedSideSeats.com, recently sat down with two of Lucha Va Voom's regulars, El Bombero and Casandro. for the Loser Leaves Town Podcast.

...T.J. Perkins (AKA Pinoy Boy/Puma/Cobra II, currently El Bombero in Lucha Va Voom) to discuss his travels around the world as a 25 year-old who's a 10 year veteran. Lots of great stuff about going to New Japan and the LA Dojo including wrestling in the Tokyo Dome, the MMA training that led to him actually having fights, becoming Cobra II while being tempted with promises of maybe eventually being Tiger Mask V, and much more.

After that is Cassandro, the top exotico in wrestling today. A 21 year veteran, he talks about his pre-wrestling career as a medical assistant, being trained by Rey Misterio Sr. in the class that included the original Psicosis/Nicho and a very young Rey Mysterio (Jr.), wrestling in Juarez and El Paso, being a gay man in the wrestling business in Mexico, how Antonio Peña helped him and others, his current travels around the world (including wrestling El Hijo del Santo at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France!), and more.

All in all, a very fun hour of interviews.

Download it here.

You can check out the (newly redesigned) archive of past shows at LoserLeavesTown.net.

Really interesting read. Give it a listen, you won't regret it. And here's a match featuring Perkins wrestling Casandro as Cobra II.

NWA: Pro Wrestling Fusion interviewed by Alan Wojcik

Alan Wojcik interviews FUSION Owner Joey M@cHetE

Alan Wojcik: Since 1998 you have been in wrestling. What made you say, “I think its time to start a wrestling promotion.” Take us from the birth of Pro Wrestling Fusion as a concept to the debut show on May 3rd, 2008.

Joey Machete: Well to be quite honest…I was at a cross roads. My partner Shawn Murphy was looking to retire from the business, our tag team Black Market had just finished a long and successful 3 year run in Full Impact Pro. I didn’t want to just be considered as “only” talent any longer. I wanted to do more, I wanted to offer my wrestling knowledge to a company that I could really get behind, who in turn wanted to get behind me. I was looking for the next best thing. I thought to myself, I want to work for a company that I can be proud of, a company I can bring my friends and family to and not have to make excuses about the lack of talent, production, professionalism, etc. So I started something new and fresh…Pro Wrestling Fusion, by gathering people I respected, the best of the best, true professionals that all wanted to be a part of something special. Pro wrestling Fusion is about pride, it’s about excellence. I gave myself 6 months to plan our May 3, 2008 debut event “Release The Kraken” and we blew it out of the water. The show was amazing and we were the talk of Florida Wrestling. Here we are 16 months later with 18 incredible shows under our belt, our last three shows have been beyond stellar and we are growing at a very healthy rate.

Alan Wojcik: Everyone reading this interview knows you and Shawn Murphy worked as a duo (the Black Market) for several Florida promotions. Did any of the promotions contact you to say “you better stay away from our rosters” or was it more like “great another promotion for the wrestlers to earn with?”

Joey Machete: We had our run of the usual trouble that the wrestling business and the people within the wrestling business have to offer. I wouldn’t say I was threatened but I wasn’t welcomed with open arms either, ya know. I don’t get discouraged by obstacles…I welcome them. I feed off of them. I need to have obstacles to overcome. And let’s be real, I do not, nor does anyone else, own the wrestling business and the wrestling business does not own me or anyone else for that matter. I’m just a guy who is doing his own thing and trying to make it the best thing possible, just because I’ve been very lucky and I’ve done some cool shit doesn’t mean I am better than anyone else. I found out a long time ago that this business doesn’t owe my anything and I am just grateful that I am allowed to be doing what I love and have loved since I was a child. There will always be haters out there…I just needed to learn to laugh and appreciate the fact that I was worthy of their fear.

Alan Wojcik: Let’s talk talent since Florida is filled with it. Who was the first person you chose to be part of the Fusion roster and what was your “Sales Pitch” to get other people on board?

Joey Machete: STEVE MADISON was my first choice along with KING KONG FU…sales pitch??? Uhhh….well I know they were both phone calls and I’m pretty sure they both went something like this.

Me: Hey bro, I doing my own thing and I got a date for ya…
STEVE MADISON/KING KONG FU: Right on…anything you need.

These guys and many of my other guys were my family before we started FUSION…there is a love, mutual admiration and respect that has developed over the past decade between us. That is what makes FUSION tick…this is the magic of FUSION. For the record…my last pick was Francisco Ciatso.

Alan Wojcik: Florida wrestling fans will look at the website (www.prowrestlingfusion.com) and recognize some familiar faces. I am going to list some of them (not the entire roster) and I ask you to give a few words about each, lets begin with the current champion The Sheik who just earned an NWA World Heavyweight championship match.

Joey Machete: The Sheik is the most vicious heel in wrestling today. The real deal…no one gets heat like The Sheik. Well Francisco Ciatso gets some sick heat as well but don’t tell him that, he already has trouble fitting his GIANT head into his little crinkled hat.

Alan Wojcik: Former Fusion champion “Modern Revolution” Steve Madison.

Joey Machete: Steve Madison is professional wrestling. In my opinion, when he is on…He Is One Of The Best. I love watching him wrestle…I always find myself smiling when I watch him or FU in the ring. Steve pops me when he walks into the room, he is just that funny, even when he isn’t trying to be funny. I love him like a brother and respect the hell out of his talent. He is an important part of our team and he brings a huge amount of knowledge to the promotion.

Alan Wojcik: The current tag team champions Jon Davis & Kory Chavis the Dark City Fight Club.

Joey Machete: These guys are the FUSION Florida Tag Team Champions and I don’t see anyone taking that from them any time soon. I only wish that the tag team scene had more depth in Florida so that these guys could be challenged on a regular basis. These guys are the real deal and if you want to get into the ring with these boys you better pack a friggin’ lunch. These two bruisers know how to inflict damage and I predict that they will cut through the tag team scene like a buzz saw through warm butter, making a big ol’ mess in the process. I’d like to see them across the ring from the NWA World Tag Team Champions - The SKULLKRUSHERS in the very near future, that would be some sick shit right there.

Alan Wojcik: If at all possible talk about the enigma of King Kong Fu.

Joey Machete: King Kong Fu is the funky monkey baby, he’s part Dusty, part Godfather, part Boogie Woogie. He’s a one man travelin’ circus, he’s a disco dancin’ machine! The ladies love him, the parents love him, the kids love him, everyone loves FU! He’s a big bright shining star!

Alan Wojcik: You have four legends in their own time working for Fusion namely Bruiser Bradley, Freedom Ryder, Scoot Andrews and Billy Fives.

Joey Machete: It’s an honor to have these men on the roster, you know they don’t work for just anyone…it is my honor, my pleasure and it humbles me to have these men in our ring. Pouring their hearts out for the fans after they have retired. It’s a great rub because I know, the wrestlers know and the fans know that these men are here because they want to be here and they want to wrestle a few more times in a place that they know will show the proper respect to this business and to them. They want to have challenges and not have to worry about political bull crap…they can just lace up their boots and have a fantastic time with old friends and I’m glad that we provide that type of environment, especially to guys that I have such respect for.

Alan Wojcik: Lastly the current Jr. Heavyweight champion Chris Jones.

Joey Machete: Chris is a great addition to our roster. He has the heart of a lion. He has come such a long way since he got into this business and he is a prime example of a young kid listening to the veterans around him and allowing their knowledge to take him to the next level. Everything I ever told Chris, he took in and learned and prospered from. Every spot I ever gave him, he learned from. I am very proud of him and all that he has accomplished, I am also proud to have him on our roster, holding a title and doing his thing for our fans who are absolutely in love with him.

Alan Wojcik: Since the debut show your roster has grown to add former WCW star Prince Iaukea and former WWE stars 2 Cold Scorpio & Sinn BoDHI. Talk about adding these unique stars to the established roster.

Joey Machete: It is just another example of FUSION being the place to be. We are very lucky to have so many talented professional wrestlers in the great state of Florida and we are honored to have all of the wrestlers who work with our company, these guys are the real deal, the best of the best in this industry. Prince Iaukea has been a very big help to us for a very long while. Prince helps out the younger guys in the ring before and during the shows, he is an amazing talent and really knows his way around a wrestling ring, Prince helped run WCW’s Power Plant with the Sarge back in the day. We are very excited to have Prince as a integral part of our team. His presence is huge in our locker room, a locker room which is built on respect. Sinn is new to our roster and a very exciting talent to watch and a great guy to do business with. He is here to help and has a fantastic attitude and amazing talent, we are very happy to have him as part of our locker room as well…and Scorp??? He is the man…what a vast amount of knowledge he brings to the table and such a different style, shades of lucha, strong style, old school…he can do it all.

Alan Wojcik: On some of your Ft. Pierce events you have brought in wrestling legends like Greg Valentine, Jake “the Snake” Roberts, King Haku and “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko. Is this just for the audience’s benefit or is there also something for the talent to learn from these men?

Joey Machete: It is to benefit both the audience and the talent. Let’s face it…old school rules. These men are all legends in their own right and it is a treat for our fans to see these mega stars at such an economical price. For the fans to get up close and personal with these legends is something that they will never forget and the same goes for the wrestlers in the back. To be a young guy in this business, having a master of the craft in your presence for the night is a very special deal. It is a great way to bridge the gap between the old school and the new. We are very fortunate to be able to do what we do for our fans and our wrestlers and hope that we can continue to deliver the FUSION Legends Series for a long time to come!

Alan Wojcik: Fusion is currently affiliated with the National Wrestling Alliance. Take us through how this partnership came to fruition and how does Fusion benefit from it.

Joey Machete: Well my first taste of the NWA was when I met Ed Chuman about 2 years ago. The first thing I thought when I talked to Ed was…”WOW…This guy is the definition of Moxie!” Ed quickly became a mentor to me, as he is someone who I respect a great deal. I am proud today to call Ed one of my best friends in the world and my business partner. Ed brought me on to the NWA deal and I’ve had a blast working with the company. Ed and I have a whole lot of plans for FUSION and the NWA. Lots of things are currently in the works and this will benefit our fans and wrestlers mainly. I don’t like to talk about things until they are finalized but keep watching as we will be doing a lot of great things over the next few months/years.

Alan Wojcik: This past month Fusion expanded out of its normal southern Florida towns to add Temple Terrace (suburb of Tampa) and Daytona Beach. Is this the beginning of something where you could run multiple nights like the old Championship Wrestling from Florida?

Joey Machete: Of course, we plan to run in as many places and as often as we can. We have big plans for NWA/FUSION and we are having a whole bunch of fun with this company! Please join us for the ride.

What IS happening in the NWA

Not much is known about why NWA Chicago Lucha has ceased to be a NWA Member. But we do know that effective immediately that there is no longer NWA representation in Chicago. And the person who suffers the most is The Sheik, who was slated to receive a World Title match as reported right here. The original co-op was brokered through NWA-OK president, Mr. Farat, but those plans seem to have been scrapped. NWA Oklahoma had promised to share talent with the Chicago group. Its also unfortunate, because they had already scheduled to showcase the NWA Worlds Title, with Blue Demon Jr. and the Sheik. Previously NWA Oklahoma had attempted to work at an agreement with NWA Arizona's Impact Zone Wrestling. Due to management changes in IZW, no joint effort has taken place yet.

Another NWA membership has ended too, The NWA Affiliate in Colorado, Fusion Pro Wrestling has decided to close shop. Along with the FPW promotion, the wrestling school, APWA, have stopped all business. Fusion Pro Wrestlers; had appeared on the NWA Showcase earlier this year. And members of Fusion Pro were also seen in NWA Utah’s UCW-Zero. The last man standing was Stondifirious, who will go in the record books as the last NWA Champion in Colorado.

For those who miss NWA Showcase or NWA Unleashed, might I suggest checking out On-Line NWA Action section of the Alliance Blog. Joining NWA Anarchy, NWA On-Fire, NWA Main Event, and IZW’s Impulse, three on-line wrestling shows have been introduced to the NWA Family. NWA Fusion (of Virgina) started airing new episodes of its NWA Meltdown. Also added to the NWA Family of On-line wrestling shows is NWA Force One's (New Jersey Affiliate) Character Honor and Respect and NWA New Jersey’s Slamcast.

Globetrotting with the NWA

From Gold to Globetrotting, The NWA in Australia has been picking up. In Southern Australia, the NWA Pro boys held 9 consecutive shows in accordance with the Royal Adelaide festival. Celebrating Adelaide and enjoying Pro Wrestling, the folks in attendance for the consecutive shows saw such names like Damien Slater, Hartley Jackson, NWA Australian Champion Jayson Cooper, and Jimmy Payne. Cooper picked up a couple of successful title defenses against Slater and Payne. However Cooper lost a non-title match up to his opponent on Nov. 14th, “Jag” Jackson. Carlo Cannon, who has is ½ of the EPW Tag Team Champions endured himself to the Adelaide crowd when after a series of matches against some of Adelaide’s finest asked to become and received the title of honorary South Australian. Speaking of Cannon, the EPW Tag Team titles were defended earlier this month at the big Victoria vs. WA show for EPW in Perth. Before EPW Adelaide changed its name, it was an extension of the EPW brand. And EPW Perth was always proud of its Western Australia representation. Perhaps jealous of the attention that the wrestlers from Perth were receiving, Cannon and Slex (from Melbourne) suckered the former EPW Champions, Team Blitz into giving them a title shot. Slex and Cannon were victorious in their Anti-Western Australia Campaign and the EPW titles for now are in Melbourne. Globetrotting to NWA France, Bulla Punk has regained her ICWA Women’s Championship last month. And ICWA Tag Team Champions, the Smoke and Roll Express retained their titles. ICWA ran a double shot on Sept 12th, with shows in Calonne Ricouart and in Aubergenville. The Calonne Ricouart show saw Bulla Punk retained her title against Kim Kaycee in her rematch. Greg Fury won a 10-Man Royal Rumble. Perhaps Fury could parlay this victory into a NWA France Heavyweight Championship match against Joe E. Legend. These two shows also coincide with the new induction of a training facility for NWA France, the Institute of National French Catch. Top students will be given the opportunity to earn roster spots for the NWA France.

Regal Recap: a NWA Championship recap.

The National Champion Phil Shatter has been making the rounds recently. Aside from working the Total Non-Stop Action Live Events and the NWA Legends Fanfest, "the Universal Soldier" successfully defended his championship at the Atlanta’s Dragon*Con. Shatter retained his championship by defeating the foursome of Ace Rockwell, Mikal Judas, and Shaun Tempers. Oddly enough there was some controversy as to who actually won the National Title at Dragon*Con. It was originally reported by some sources that Ace Rockwell won the championship, however reports later showed the Universal Soldier was in fact triumphant. However, the champ makes his way back to the scene of the crime, that is he's going back to NWA East. Shatter, who won his championship by defeating not only Chris LeRusso, but former champion Crusher Hansen in a triple threat match, is slated to appear back in NWA East on Sept. 26th. His opponent has been announced as Ryan Mitchell. Mitchell earned this shot by going through former National Champion, Crusher Hansen. Before winning this match, Mitchell also won the Sean Evans Memorial Tournament.

The NWA North American Champions will also be defended at NWA East’s Sept. 26th show. Brandon K and Scottie Gash now known as Excellence Personified have been dealing with trouble. That trouble is often known as the Franchise Players. These two teams have been battling for months now and are heading for a head on collision on the 26th on the NWA East’s 15th Anniversary Show.

Speaking of the North American Champions, No one has properly challenged the behemoth of NWA On-Fire, El Gran Apollo. Apollo won the North American Championship in Tyler Texas by putting an end to Mike DiBiase’s long title reign. Apollo would later flex his muscle in his home promotion NWA On-Fire and won their heavyweight championship. Apollo would go on to defend his North American Championship once in New Jersey and once in Arizona. And since, nobody has made that championship a priority. On the verge of retiring the championship, Apollo did receive a challenge from none other than former WWE World Tag Team Champion, Lance Cade. Cade issued the challenge, but a family emergency kept Cade from meeting Apollo. Apollo ended up losing his On-Fire Heavyweight Title, to Billy Robinson. But with Cade looming in the background, how long will Apollo be able to hang on to this championship.

The Heavyweight Champion of the World… just came off a double shot weekend, where the Champion prevailed against the Idol of Brownsville, Golden King for NWA Southwest’s Paradise Pro Wrestling show. Also called Lucha Americana International was Demon’s second defense since defeating Oliver John and Super Crazy in Phoenix, AZ. Demon also had a match schedule in Corpus Christi on Sept. 11th for Gulf Coast Wrestling Alliance, but no results have been posted as of this writing. Demon’s scheduled next defense was highly anticipated as it would have marked the first NWA event in Chicago for this millennium. Demon was to take on The Sheik with Joey Eastman of Fusion Pro Wrestling. Those matches will no long be sanctioned by the NWA, and will no longer be title matches.

Unfortunately the inactivity of the NWA World Tag Team Championships, NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship, and NWA Women Championship, I've got nothing to update. The current champions are the Skull Krushers, Mike Quackenbush, and MsChif, respectively.

KRISSY VAIN VS MELISSA COATES

Former WWE divas collide! The muscular Coates will surely want to tear the beautiful Krissy Vain apart as I believe Vain makes her debut. Krissy Vain.... Anarchy Heavyweight champion Jeremy Vain? Could there be something there?

YOUTH GONE WILD VS THE WILD BUNCH

New comers Youth Gone Wild try to prove why they belong in Anarchy as they face the fan favorite Wild Bunch.

NWA ANARCHY TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
TALENT & MONEY VS THE NEW WAVE

These guys have been feuding for quite some time now and they kill each other every time they get in the ring. One of the best feuds in Anarchy history in my opinion.

TODD SEXTON VS EL VETERANO 4

The Anarchy crowd loves to hate Todd, who has waged war on the Young Lions division. EV4 looks to cement his place in the division.

ENTOURAGE VS J-RODD & BJ HANCOCK

Andrew Alexander and Mike Mosley will try to show everyone just what they're capable of as J-Rodd and Hancock attempt to earn a roster spot with Anarchy.

DELAY, BRODY & POSEY VS COREY HOLLIS, ALEJANDRO & CIRRIS

Brody, Delay, and Posey cheated Slim J out of a victory at Hostile Environment... will they do the same to promising new comers Hollis, Alejandro, and Cirris? Will Slim J get some revenge of his own?

NWA ANARCHY HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
BO NEWSOME VS JEREMY VAIN

Newsome is one of Anarchy's hottest new stars and Vain is the current Anarchy champion. Newsome has recently gotten some surprise victories over Todd Sexton. Will he be able to overcome the odds of Vain's experience, cheap tactics, and new found friend of Orion Bishop? Will Shadow Jackson have his revenge on Vain & Bishop?

JAY CLINTON VS TRUITT FIELDS

Fields wasn't able to help Team Anarchy at Hostile Environment and Clinton hasn't ever helped anything. Truitt looks to re-establish himself as an awesome young powerhouse that Anarchy fans can count on to deliver beatings to punks like Clinton.

NWA ANARCHY YOUNG LIONS TITLE MATCH
SKIRRA CORVUS VS MALACHI

Corvus earned the right to this title shot at Hostile Environment and this should be an awesome match. There just isn't anyone like Corvus in wrestling and Malachi is the current Young Lions Champion.

TANK VS ICEBERG

These two monsters have had some of the bloodiest battles in Anarchy history. The Devil's Rejects seek to re-establish themselves after a huge loss in the cage at Hostile Environment.

AARON LEE & ANTOINE JORDAN VS ROWDY FRIENDS

Don Matthews and Jessco Blue look to rough some guys up as Aaron Lee and Antoine Jordan step up to the challenge.

PLUS: SHADOW JACKSON, ACE ROCKWELL, JERRY PALMER, THE HATE JUNKIES, JEFF G BAILEY, SHAUN TEMPERS & MORE

Should be an awesome show... Championship matches, Bitter rivalries, and some of the most talented wrestlers in the world.

NWA Mid-Atlantic results from Rutherford County, North Carloina

Jeff Richards with Georgia Wrestling History did a great review of the NWA Mid-Atlantic show featuring NWA Hall of Famer Ric Flair. I have heard that Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling does a lot of benefit shows in North Carolina to help out local charities. And it really is commendable that they are able to give back to the community and continue to promote the NWA and the legacy of wrestling in that area. Aside from the action in the ring, The former NWA World Champion several times over was in attendance to do the autographs and pictures for the fans who came out. The quick results for the 600 plus in attendance were:

Chris Hamrick defeated Donnie Dollar$

MACW Ladies ChampionshipMatch
Krissy Vaine defeated Jayme Jameson to win the vacant MACW Ladies Title

Ricky Morton defeated Andru Bane

MACW Jr. Heavyweight Title
Rikki Nelson retained defeated Richie Steamboat

MACW Heavyweight Title
Buff "The Stuff" Bagwell pinned MACW Hardcore Champion Beautiful Bobby Eaton.

The fans were said to have gone home happy, but in some confusion it was announced that Rikki Nelson had the ring announcer declare this bout was for the NWA WORLD Jr. Heavyweight Title
As the reporter Richards states "news to Mike Quackenbush, I'm sure." Is this just a simple flub by the Ring Announcer or is Nelson billing his championship as a true Worlds Title? We are discussing the controversy on the message board, join the discussion by clicking here.

Regardless of this minor controversy it seems that the fans in The Rutherford County were treated to a slice of the Mid-Atlantic tradition and Ric Flair continues to make the North Carolina Flair Country.

Rage In The Cage Training Center
Tempe, AZ
2009.
September 9, 2009 It was a bittersweet night at the Rage in the Cage Training Center on Tuesday September 8. From the opening ten bell salute to the attempted stripping of Mike James's Arizona Heavyweight Championship to the special Peter Goodman tribute match--all taking place in a brand new venue for IZW--it was a night that will never be forgotten.

Quick Results:-

The BFF Express (Johnny Manson & Tyson Tyler) defeated Mike G & Impulse Champion Dom "The Bomb" Vitalli-

"Freak-O-Suave" Frenchy Riviera beat "The Feature Presentation" Jay Garland via a reverse decision when Frenchy planted a weapon on Garland that led to the reversal and disqualification of Garland-

Lucha Star pinned Dread Pirate Bernie-

Derick Neikirk & GQ Gallo beat IZW Champion "The East Coast Killer" Dean Radford & Arizona Heavyweight Champion "Miracle" Mike James-

Antonio Mestre defeated The Hawaiian Lion and The Navajo Warrior in a triple threat match to pay tribute to Peter Goodman

One piece of news stems from the in-ring conversation between Greg DeMarco and Mike James. After praising James for his persistence in pinning Derick Neikirk to score the biggest win of his career and win the Arizona Heavyweight Championship, DeMarco announced that he was stripping James of the title based on the involvement of Ryan Castelucci, who was not assigned to officiate that evening. Castelucci-- of course--knocked DeMarco out six weeks ago in an incident that has been chronicled on IZW Impulse. James was about to hand the belt over when Derick Neikirk, the most unlikely person in this case, came to the ring and refused to be awarded the title, rather stating that he wanted to invoke his rematch clause with MMJ at the next IZW event.

ImpactZoneWrestling.com reached DeMarco after the event for comment. "When I signed Derick to the DeMarco Family, I made him one promise. Derick gets what Derick wants. If Derick wants to make an example out of Mike James and win his title back, then so be it. But notice I called it his title...because Derick is the rightful champ, and he'll rectify that in a few short weeks.

"Stay tuned to ImpactZoneWrestling.com for more news on our upcoming event, including the date and location of when you can see Mike James defend the Arizona Heavyweight Championship against Derick Neikirk, in a match that will have a stipulation of Derick's choosing.

NWA Affiliate FPW in Colorado closes doors

Courtesy of www.fusionprowrestling.com

To stop any rumors that may be currently spread let us set the record straight. Fusion and APWA have closed up shop, and not due to lack of funds, fans or entertainment. But to put it simply it is just time to move on. We started this business with a hope and dream that we could show Colorado the best that wrestling had to offer and we did. We enjoyed every last minute that we spent in this business with the loyal wrestlers, fans and Family, all of which will be remembered.

Thank you to everyone who made this past few years a memorable kick ass time.

NWA Lucha Chicago: Presents Blue Demon Jr. vs. The Sheik

Using a spike to draw the blood of the infidels The Sheik has slowly made a name for himself in Florida as no nonsense, blood thirsty, competitor who will stop at nothing to achieve glory and honor for his countrymen. And with the Wizard, Joey Eastman by his side, the Sheik has traveled as far west as Southern California to wrestle for the NWA Showcase. And although Fusion Pro Wrestling is where he is a Heavyweight Champion, the Sheik has traveled to Charlotte and Chicago to purge the non-believers. And it will be in Chicago, where the mad-man finally has an opportunity to claim the Legendary 10lbs of Gold. As the Sheik has already laid to waste to former WWE Superstar 2 Cold Scorpio and Florida Indy Wrestling Sensation Steve Madison, his next target is the Worlds Heavyweight Champion. And you better believe the Sheik has one more spike ready to free the blood of Blue Demon Jr.

Blue Demon Jr. has already defeated some of the most prominent names of the NWA. Adam Pearce, Joey Ryan, former NWA Heritage Champion Ryan Taylor, Mexican Wrestling sensation El Dandy, current NWA Heritage Champion Oliver John, and former WWE Superstar Super Crazy. Demon has 2 more matches in Texas before he even gets to Chicago. NWA Chicago brings you this match up on October 24th, 2009.

The main event of that night was the Smoke and Roll Express defeating the newly formed X-Force. Before the match Ken Abis came to the ring and announced that he couldn't wrestle, but found a partner of his stature. So Bis Abis, teamed up with the Szandor.

Their next shows are announced for September 12th. With no card announced yet, the ICWA plans on 2 running shows in 2 different locations. One in Calonne Ricouart and one in Aubergenville.

NWA EWF prsents: Red Hot Summer 2009!

RED HOT SUMMER 2009 PREVIEW
September 8, 2009
By Vinnie James

What drives a man to betray a longtime friend? Is it deep-seeded hatred, jealousy, lack of sleep, food poisoning? The world may never know what caused The Human Tornado to turn on sometime tag partner
Scorpio Sky, but we can recount the events that led to the main event of RED HOT SUMMER 2009! On September 18th, in the land of low ceilings
and even lower chandeliers, The Knights of Columbus Hall in Covina, CA, Empire Wrestling Federation will bring down the house! (Figuratively, not literally.)

Let's take a trip down memory lane. On July 10th, 2009, EWF held Independent's Day V: Winner Take All. The main event featured a plethora of EWF warriors and put them in one ring to determine the first ever champion for the new EWA Heavyweight title in the EWA Cashout match. In the final minutes of the match, fans witnessed a fantastic showdown between The Human Tornado and Scorpio Sky. The crowd was split between the two perennial fan favorites. Scorpio Sky was the better man that day and he was awarded the title belt, as well
as a trophy for the EWA Cashout match. If that wasn't enough, Sky won $2,000 dollars, $200 of which came from Human Tornado's own pocket. Perhaps jealousy entered the heart of young Tornado. Fast forward to Meltdown 2K9 on August 7th, 2009. Human Tornado was granted a chance at the title, which Scorpio Sky had successfully defended. The two put on a great match that ended on a sour note. A masked man, dressed in Scorpio Sky's old mask and tights, attacked and caused the champion to retain via disqualification. Human Tornado feigned concern, before laying the proverbial "smack down" on his former friend. In an interview, Tornado introduced his doppelganger friend as Ali Bumaye. Then, at Gold Standard III on September 4th, 2009, Ali Bumaye, dressed in full Scorpio Sky circa 2004 gear, faced the man he blindsided nearly a month prior and came up short. Bumaye put up a valiant effort however, and will certainly be one to watch in the future. So, at RED HOT SUMMER 2009, the fans in attendance, and later those watching on DVD, will witness the next chapter in this story of jealousy and backbiting. Will the mysterious Ali "Scorpio Sky Jr." Bumaye make his presence known, or will Human Tornado fly solo? Don't miss RED HOT SUMMER 2009!

But this is EWF we're talking about here, and there is plenty more in store on September 18th. For example, former Tag Team champion and current American champion, Liger "Bred for his skills and magic" Rivera will team up with one-time enemy turned friend Terex to attempt
to recapture that elusive tag team gold. Is Liger Rivera ready to be a double champion? The fans will be sure to cheer him on in this endeavor. Terex had success in tag team competition September 4th at Gold Standard III when he and Vizzion defeated the team of loud mouth
Sgt. Sanders and Cedric "The Hitman." Will this success translate into tag team glory? But don't underestimate The A-List. "Top Shelf" Jeremy Jaeger and "The Overnight Celebrity" Roger Ruiz are both forces to be reckoned with in their own right, but as a team, they have managed to
continue their tag title reign by any means necessary. Fans may argue that their tactics are less than noble, but they say nobility is overrated anyway. What will happen when Liger Rivera and Terex take on The A-List? Find out on September 18th!

As the late Billy Mays would say, "But wait, there's more!" Chris Kadillak and "Pretty" Peter Avalon will put on a cruiserweight clinic and one man will walk out a double champion! Kadillak is the current EWF Cruiserweight champion and Avalon is the AWS Lightweight champion. We'd like to thank Bart Kapitzke of AWS for allowing his title to be defended on an EWF show. This should be an intense matchup, as neither man wants to lose his title. What will happen in
the battle of men named after cars? Will Toyota or Cadillac win bragging rights at the end of the day? You don't want to miss this match!

NWA Introduces a new Mini Worlds Championship

Credit: Pro Wrestling Revolution

NWA™ World’s Mini Championship

Charlotte, NC (September 1, 2009) – Over the years, the National Wrestling Alliance® has sanctioned matches featuring the greatest fighters in pro wrestling
, competing for World Championships. Today, the six-decade old governing body is making history by bringing back a World Championship that has been dormant for 50 years, the NWA™ World’s Mini Championship.

“The Hispanic community has been one of our fastest-growing demographics over the past few years and with the popularity of the Mini’s in Lucha Libre, we’ve decided that a Championship should be created for these smaller athletes. In the past, we’ve had other versions of a ‘Midget’ title, but we believe that this Championship will gain a lot of attention and add additional excitement to our live events and television,” said NWA Executive Director Robert K. Trobich.

The idea of “Mini” title was brought to Trobich by NWA: Pro Wrestling Revolution Promoter Gabriel Ramirez. His promotion has led the way in expanding the NWA’s vision of adding more Lucha Libre entertainment to their events.

“Business had never been better for us here in the Bay Area and Central California, we have been enjoying great houses and sponsorship opportunities with major media outlets in our area’s since going more ‘Lucha’. Blue Demon, Jr. (NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion) is not only a legend, but also a media darling and fan favorite. It is our hope that the ‘Mini’ Worlds Championship will add to the ever building curiosity that we create for our fans, states Ramirez.

A Champion will be crowned on September 20th in Watsonville, CA at the Santa Cruz County Fair grounds in a match featuring two of the world’s best-known “Mini’s” Piratita Morgan and Octagoncito.

NWA East to be invaded by the Universal Soilder?

Credit: NWAEast.org
The biggest news story out of NWA East right now is the return of NWA National Heavyweight Champion "The Universal Soldier" Phil Shatter! Shatter was last seen in NWA East back in January at Genesis 2, when he defeated then-champion Crusher Hansen for the NWA National Title. On September 26th, 2009, Shatter is coming to the NWA East 15th Anniversary Show, and he's defending his title that night against one lucky NWA East star! But who will the Championship Committee, or the NWA Board of Directors for that matter, deem worthy enough for a shot at the title? Rumor has it, there's already several names lined up to take on the champ... but which one will get the chance of a lifetime?
